The soda bread

Wholemeal flour, buttermilk and bread soda: no yeast, half an hour, and it comes out of the oven while you set the table. It’s what Kerry kitchens eat, and what your hill sandwiches are made with.

For the hill

Two soda-bread sandwiches, fruit, a bar of chocolate and a flask of tea or coffee. €12 per person; order it the night before on the card or when you book.
