The mountain

From Ceo, Carrauntoohil (1,039 m) starts at Cronin’s Yard, a 31 km drive: about 11 km there and back by the Devil’s Ladder, with roughly 870 m of climbing and 5–6 hours with stops (measured on OpenStreetMap; guidebooks give similar figures). For easy days, Rossbeigh Strand is 15 km away.
